IRAN launched rockets in the American military base in Katar, in what was said to retaliate for American strikes from their nuclear locations during the weekend.

Witnesses reported to hear loud bangs in the sky above the capital, while videos showed light flashes in the sky because the air defense systems tried to intercept the rockets.

Donald Trump described the attack as “very weak” and “expected”, and proposed peace in the region to continue.

On Tuesday, the American president announced that the truce between Israel and Iran took effect.

Here’s what we know.

What is Iran goal and why?

Iranian rockets focused on the largest American military base in the Middle East, Al-Udiid, in what was said that the answer to the United States was bombing three of their nuclear programs on Saturday night.

Al-Udeid is the home of the Seat of American military for all air operations in the region. Some British military personnel is also serving there on rotation.

The attack first confirmed Iranian states, and later the military.

The IRGC statement, the most powerful branch of the Iranian army, said that “Iran would not leave any attack on his sovereignty unanswered” and added: “American bases in the region are not presses, but vulnerabilities.”

The United States has previously warned Iran not to respond to their strikes on nuclear facilities and called leaders in Tehran to agree to the diplomatic end of hostility in the region.

There were various reports on how much the rocket was fired. Iran said that six, now they said 14, and Qatar reported Reuters to speak 19 – All that, it was added, intercepted.

No one was reported killed or injured.

In the clock before the attack, both the United States and the United Kingdom advised their citizens in Qatar to “Shelter in place”. About 8,000 American citizens live in Qatar, according to the state department, as well as several thousand counts.

What was said after the attack

Soon it became obvious that Iran gave warning to prepare for rocket boot. Three Iranian officials cited with New York times said Tehran told Doha about his intentions, as a way of diminishing the victim.

In his first comments lately, President Donald Trump thanked Iran “to give us an early notice, which allowed us to not lose any life and no one could hurt.”

She branded the attack “Very weak” – no Americans harmed and very little damage was done, he said. “They all got it out of their system,” he added and said that there was a chance for “peace” now.

However, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar said “surprise” and “rough violation of its sovereignty” and added that Qatar “One of the first countries to warn against the dangers of Israeli escalation in the region”.

The Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatolah Ali Khamenei, meanwhile he said that Iran did not harm anyone in the attack, but that his country would not “submit to someone’s violation.”

“We have not violated anyone and in no way we will accept anyone. We will not violate anyone; it is the logic of the Iranian nation,” he said in X (as Translated by BBC Persian).

On Tuesday, Israel publicly agreed that Trump’s proposal was a truce truce, while Iran said it would only stop attacks if Israel did the same.

Iranian state media announced that the country fired “the last round of rockets” towards Israel before the truce began.

Meanwhile, the Israeli government issued warning Iran: “Israel will strongly respond to any violation of the truce.”

What were the signs that the attack was immediate?

On Monday there was an indication on Monday that the American suspected Iran prepared to launch rockets to Qatar.

Hours before the attack, Qatar said that she temporarily closed their airspace, soon after the United States told citizens in Qatar on the “Shelter in place”.

These warnings did not give a clear indicator that the attack was inevitable: now they said that she issued an order “from abundance”, while in the UK it said that followed the advantage of Americans.

However, about an hour before the attack, the BBC learned about the “credible threat” base.

Separately, some American media houses are cited by anonymous American officials as they said that Iranian rocket launchers were placed on potential launch to Qatar.

Flight tracking sites showed that planes have already begun to be redirected to other airports before launch. According to Flightradar24, 100 flights were needed soon before rockets were discovered.

The Hamad International Airport is one of the best busiest in the world for international traffic, with about 140,000 passengers who pass daily.

Other countries in the region, including Bahrain and Kuwait, closed their airspace in a short time.

How did we get here?

The United States launched huge strikes against three nuclear plants within Iran on Saturday.

It came after the uncertainty given whether the United States would join Israel’s military action against Iran, who began on June 13.

Israel has launched daily rocket strikes on nuclear and military facilities within Iran, which says its government is necessary to prevent Iran from abolishing nuclear weapons.

Successive Israeli and American governments wanted to prevent Iran from gaining nuclear weapons. Iran has always claimed that her extensive nuclear program is for civilian purposes.

The United States claimed that his strike was badly damaged by the Iran’s nuclear program, although fully entirely of their influence remains unclear.

Attacks between Iran and Israel remained continued on Sunday and Monday before the truce came into force.
