The sound of jet engines was deafening

It was Balms on Thursday Thursday at the Host Hostel, the Faculty of Medicine, BJ and the canteen was released with students who become lunch.

The room buzzed the sound of a joke, the banter between friends and a strange small academic discussion.

Students mixed with doctors and family members. Then, everything has changed.

Less than a minute earlier, the AI171 flight took off from the runway in Ahmedabad’s airport, just 1.5 km (4,800 ft) away.

But something skipped catastrophically wrong, and only a few seconds after the wheels left the ground, the plane was in trouble. The call for May was sent before crashing into a hastily residential area – at the top of the doctor’s hostel – sending a massive fireball in heaven and killing everything but one, except one person on board.

The doctor working with the Department for Science in College, says that his colleagues were in her building, about 500 meters, when they heard “Zaglučiv sound” outside.

The Prince and Krish Patnica brothers were only a few meters from the hostel on their bikes when they heard noise.

“In a few seconds, we could see something that looked like a plane wing,” Prince said, 18, said BBC.

“We rushed on the scene, but the heat out of the explosion was intense and we could not enter the hostel. There were a lot of debris.”

Brothers, together with a few more volunteers from the local area, waited for warmth before trying to physically enter the building. They worked together with the police to cross some of the debris from the entrance.

When they finally reached the canteen, they couldn’t see anyone.

Dark, thick clouds of the smoke have affected the room. The air smelled of burnt metal. Brothers, who were only a few minutes ago, Idented to play cricket, began to remove the cooking of gas cylinders to avoid further explosions, Krish, 20, explained.

The brothers and other volunteers then noticed a bunch of suitcases and went to move them. What was going on, they said, whether the hatch was buggling.

Behind them started making forms of people.

Most were alive. Some had spoons full of food in hand, some had food panels in front of them, and some had glasses in her hand.

Everyone was badly injured.

They were also in shock. In just a few minutes before they had the usual afternoon. They were now surrounded by carbohy metal pieces of aircraft.

“They didn’t even get the opportunity to react,” another doctor said, who was in a nearby building.

The second year’s student, who lives in the hostel, was among those who managed to escape.

He sat in his usual place – a large table at the corner of a mess, next to one of the walls – with nine others when the plane crashed.

“There was a huge burst and a horrible sound of scream. The next thing we knew, we were under the huge balers, stuck without anywhere to go,” he says. “The fire and smoke of the demolished planes were close to our face and it was hard to breathe.”

In the accident, he got heavy early breasts and was still under treatment in the local hospital. And he doesn’t know what happened to his friends.

More eyewitnesses said the BBC is the massive wing of the plane first pierced through the roof, followed by parts of the trunk. The damage was the hardest where the wing fell.

In chaos, students started jumping with the same as the second and third floor to escape. The students later said that one of the only stairs blocked the debris.

It is not known how many people were killed on earth.

Dr. Minakshi Parikh, Dean Medical Faculty and Civil Hospital Bj, said that the BBC said that four of their students died, as well as four relatives of students.

But exactly how many of them were killed, it could take days to establish: investigators must rely on DNA to formally identify bodies found in wreck.

And it was not just people in the canteen at the time they were killed.

Only a few kilometers was Ravi Thakur, who worked in the kitchen hostel. He went out to deliver lunch boxes in other hostels around the city. His wife and their two-year daughter stayed behind as usual.

When he heard the news, he rushed back, but he found Kraista Chaos. It was about 45 minutes, and the place was a lot of locals, firefighters, emergency workers and Air India staff.

He tried to look for his wife and child, but he couldn’t find them.

Back in the main hospital block, teachers continue to try to make sense for chaos.

“I used to learn these students and personally know them. The injured students are still treated in the hospital, and they are our priority right now,” One professor at the faculty told the BBC.

Meanwhile, Ravi Thakur is still looking for his loved ones, even as his hopes faded quickly.
