Several people suffered life – threaten injuries in a knife attack at the main train station in the German city of Hamburg, the police said.
The City Fire Department said 17 People were injured in the attack, while the police said they didn’t yet have a valid figure for the number of victims.
Hamburg police said that officers arrested the 39-year German woman at the scene as they performed a major surgery.
The attack took place at the city central station at around 18:00 local time (16:00 GMT) on Friday.
The Hamburg Fire Department spokesman told AFP news agency 17 people were injured and that some injuries were dangerous for life.
In the post in KS, Hamburg police said that several people were injured that they sustained injuries to life.
When talking outside the station, the police said they believe that the suspect acted on its own and did not have a “political motif.”
Instead, they believe she might have been “in state distress,” said Florian Abbenseth, police spokesman, he told reporters.
