Haribo recalled his sweets “Happy Cola” in the Netherlands after Canabis was discovered in packages and several people, including children, sick.
The Dutch Product and Consumer Security Organ (NVVA) said only three bags “Happy Cola F! ZZ”, but the complete recall was taken as a precaution.
“There are bags in circulation with sweets that can lead to health complaints, such as dizziness, when they are consumed,” NVVA said in the statement.
NVVA spokesman said Afiad said AFP: “Canabis was found in Bottle Cola”, inviting the form of sweets.
“The police reported it on NVVA after several people, both children and adults, became sick after the COL bottle was eating.”
Ahiad said the police now explore how cannabis became a path into sweet bags.
“After consultation with NVVA and as usual in these types of situations, Haribo issued warning safety,” Ahiad said.
“Don’t eat sweets,” NVVa warned.
Patrick Tax, Marketing Vice President in Harib, said that the product address refers to a “limited number of cases” with one product in the Eastern country.
“The security of our consumers is our highest priority and Haribo took this incident very seriously,” Tax said in a statement sent by AFP.
“This is a living question and work closely with the Dutch authorities to support their investigation and determine the facts about contamination,” he added.
