Couple turned a French chateau into a bed and breakfast


After years of life in San Francisco, innate innate Malana Moberg, 59 and Roland Salvato, 64, were ready to change.

Salvato spent approximately 30 years working as a project manager, while Moberg worked as a marketing consultant. After led his own company, the Roma group, they decided to move the village for the beginning of bed and breakfast.

The idea for the beginning of the bed and the breakfast did not arrive from the desire to make money. Instead, Salvato and Moberg searched for a challenge to take over their next chapter.

“We obviously made good money, but it was not a goal or our life,” Salvato says. “Experience is much more important than material wealth. Any investment in our curiosity about life is worth it.”

The couple began searching a new home, looking for property that would not only have a space for a lot of guests, but also for animals.

“I always knew I wanted to move to the country. I just didn’t know what the earth was,” Salvato says.

They looked at Spain, Portuguese and North Africa, but France and his rich history continued to call them. She also helped Salvato already speak French.

Before the couple moved in, Chateau was not upgraded in 50 years.

They thought the country looking for a perfect place, eventually ended in a city called Druelle Balzac. Here, they found a castle that felt perfect.
